Promises of God

Blessings ladies, have you ever tried applying a promise from God with no result? You may have spent many hours declaring it over your life, sowed many seeds, gotten prayer or even prophecy but nothing changed. Well, today I’ll be sharing techniques that helped me and many others overcome in this area.

First, it’s important to know that a relationship without a promise…dies When God makes a promise, it’s because He is trying to build a deeper more intimate relationship with us. Every strong relationship is built on trust. I needed to speak on the promises of God because it is the key to your relationship with God. One of the types of promises I spoke about was the promise of blessings. Any human being that has ever walked this earth has been promised a blessing. For example, Abraham was promised that He would be the father of many nations, Joseph had a promise that he would become the second most powerful man in the world's superpower (Egypt) at the time, and David was promised to be the next king of Israel. Every person in the Bible that did something significant for the kingdom of God first started off with a promise God gave them. Those promises led them to a deeper relationship with God and through it, they learned to lean and trust in God completely. ? Always remember God is always ready and willing to bless His children but blessings can be blocked in many ways. Here are some of the main areas that God has shown me need to be changed in order to see the effectiveness of His promises manifest in your life.

  1. your surroundings - this could be where you live, your job, your belongings, and much more

  2. the entertainment you watch - this could be tv, social media, music, shows, concerts, etc

  3. what you meditate on daily - this means what your mind constantly dwells on. For some, it could be worry, fear, sex, drugs, and anything else that consumes a lot of your thought process

  4. the people you surround yourself with - those you call friends, family, mentors, and acquaintances. People you allow to speak into your life or who you go to for advice.

God does not take back his promises, but the world around us can affect that promise. Once you start to make changes in those specific areas you will begin to see a positive change in your life.

Ultimately, we must be careful of the things we let consume our minds and the people we let around us as we continue to grow our relationship with God and trust that he will fulfill every promise given to us.
